Zoom workshops for 2023
The zoom feature writing courses I gave in June and October 2022 and the January/February 2023 non-fiction pitching and marketing course were a huge success. More details can be found on the zoom workshops page of www.writersbureaucourse.com
Courses include an optional 2,000-word appraisal of students' work afterwards. Contact susanm@writersbureau.com for details of future courses.
REVIEWS
'Really helpful workshop thanks, best bits - getting insider advice and personal feedback and brainstorming together/ working together with other participants too.' Nicola
'Thank you for the Course. It was Great!' Gordon
Living Left-Handed was published by Bloomsbury and launched at Harrods. It was the definitive book on the topic for the lay reader and I became a regular broadcaster on TV and radio for some years to come. It was translated into several languages. Now out of print, I own the publishing rights.

Editorial assistant at TV Times with Vi Carson - Ena SharpIes from Coronation Street - in the early days and scriptwriter Brian Finch at cocktail party.
After my rights were returned, the publisher pirated the contents and re-published under his own name. Sadly, no law against pirating. Unless you know better!
'Very successful... Diane is so clear in her advice, encouraging & inspirational. I really feel buoyed up after her sessions.' Susan
Left-handed Helpline received a book award from the British Medical Association. I was one of only two writers who had ever won more than one award from the BMA. It was published by my own educational publishing company, Dextral Books and I was awarded a research grant from the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation.
Another BMA award winner. After many years in print, taken over by the publisher who insisted on rehashing it so that it could no longer qualify for the award I'd won! But this edition remains, with its award forever and can easily be bought from most second-hand book dealers and E-bay. Sadly, I don't receive royalties this way.
